Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between natural and synthetic latex?
Natural latex is derived from rubber tree sap and is certified hypoallergenic, antimicrobial, and biodegradable. Synthetic latex is petroleum-derived and lacks these natural properties. All Madrats latex mattresses use 100% natural latex, certified by Rainforest Alliance and OEKO-TEX Standard 100.
How long do latex mattresses last?
Natural latex is the most durable mattress material available. A well-maintained Madrats latex mattress can comfortably last 15–20 years, significantly longer than memory foam (8–10 years) or hybrid (8–12 years). They come with our 15-year limited warranty.
Is latex good for back pain?
Yes, natural latex provides excellent back support due to its natural elasticity. It contours to the body's curves while simultaneously pushing back to maintain neutral spinal alignment — unlike memory foam, which can cause spinal misalignment if too soft.
