Natural Latex Mattresses

A latex mattress is made from natural latex tapped from rubber trees, and it is the longest-lived of all mattress types — properly cared for, it lasts 15–20 years. Latex is naturally springy and point-elastic: it supports the body exactly where needed without the sinking-in feel of memory foam, which makes it a strong choice for people who change position frequently during the night. Vertical pinholes running through the material provide excellent ventilation and keep the sleeping surface cool. Natural latex is also inherently antibacterial and dust-mite resistant, which is why it is particularly recommended for allergy and asthma sufferers. Our latex mattresses are GOLS certified, confirming the organic origin of the latex and compliance with strict environmental manufacturing standards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is natural latex suitable for allergy sufferers?

Yes. Natural latex naturally resists dust mites and mould, which is why it is recommended for allergy and asthma sufferers. Latex allergy is rare and relates mainly to direct skin contact with raw latex, not to the core material inside a mattress.

Why is a latex mattress more expensive?

Natural latex is hand-tapped from rubber trees and takes longer to process than synthetic foams. The higher price is offset by lifespan — a latex mattress typically lasts about twice as long as a foam one.

How heavy is a latex mattress?

Latex is denser than foam, so these mattresses are noticeably heavier — typically 40–55 kg in a double. Plan on a second person to help when rotating it.
